Report and Control Portals are used for normal, automatic or manual, and emergency operations and will be referred
to as "Operational Portals".
There can be a very large variety of reports. Some reports as simple as the status of a single sensor, or as complex
as computation of info from hundreds of sensors in each of hundreds of locations. A report can be as mundane as the
number of items sold from a single vending machine in one day, or more extensive as comparisons of the GNP from a
hundred different countries. The Report Portal can have presentations from spreadsheets to poetry, and everything in-between.
The Report Portal will probably be used most often since it will provide the user audio/visual/tactile information
On-Demand. Depending upon which selections the user made via the Setup Portal, the information received can be acted upon
automatically without user intervention or wait for user to initiate the action.
