I could review the EXCEPTION Summary and then the Location Service Report. I could even drill down to a Location Product Sales Report as an animated bar chart for that location during that time period on that day, however usually I would leave that to the supervisor.

“Tees”

Testing, Tuning, Timing, Turning, Trimming, Taming, Training, and Transforming.

Testing the market in general, or any market location in particular, historically has been difficult to obtain valid information and impossible to keep current. Tuning (adjusting the product selection and quantities of each product for each location so that all products of a category (Bottle/Can “Bc”, and Snacks “Sk”) run out near the same time) allows the Timing (refill cycle time) to be determined.

Turning the valuable information from the first three Tees into increased revenue and lower costs is now possible.  Initially the Timing for “Bc” category may not be the same as the “Sk” category for any location.  If the refill cycle time is 10 days for the “Bc” category and 14 days for the “Sk” category, the Timing for that location must be 10 days or less.  Increasing the product capacity for the “Bc” category (adding more machines or replacing with larger capacity machines) would increase efficiency, and is one way of Trimming costs.  The route driver time saved can be used to service more locations, find new potential market locations, and Turning increased revenue for your business.  As new market locations are implemented, adding new “Bc” machines with higher number of selection capability would decrease the market Testing time while increasing the Testing and Tuning accuracy.

Taming the support efforts includes collecting the product needs for all locations generating purchase orders for the inventory manager to review and send to suppliers.  Order receivers are generated for the warehouse manager to use when product is delivered.  Completed receivers with invoices are sent to the accounting manager for payment. Products for tomorrow’s routes are picked and staged for each route vehicle to be loaded.  Shippers are generated for the market locations of each route.  CodeRealm’s Taming support functions can produce a truly paperless system.  The result is increased efficiency and more cost Trimming.  This is where you could link the CodeRealm Service with your inventory control and accounting systems.
